I am an integrative therapist. I combined elements drawn from different schools of psychological theory and research, integrative therapy is a more flexible and inclusive approach to treatment than more traditional, singular forms of psychotherapy. It gives more room for client specific treatment.
I also use an array of Complimentary Therapies which are a group of therapeutic disciplines that are used together with conventional treatment to further relieve anxiety and depression symptoms or to aid in deep relaxation.
Counseling can be an intimidating experience and the decision to seek counseling is a courageous one. Whether you are having difficulty with adjustment issues or recovering from a traumatic experience, your treatment will be specific to you and specialized for your individual needs. Finding the right counselor is essential to your success in treatment. Using creativity, compassion, and commitment, I will meet you where you are and help you get to where you would like to be. In addition to traditional talk therapy I use a variety of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques such as meditation and hypnotherapy.
My work begins with taking the time to understand each, unique individual. I am always sure to provide a safe and respectful environment in order to change maladaptive patterns of thinking, behaving or feeling that stem from past experiences and underlie presenting symptoms, while working on practical solutions to immediate problems.
